NVCC Accepting Applications

For Allied Health Programs

WATERBURY — Naugatuck Valley Community College (NVCC) is accepting applications for entrance into its two-year, allied health programs.

The deadline to apply to the physical therapist assistant program is October 1 for January 2004 entrance. Prerequisites include the following courses within the past five years: intermediate algebra with a minimum grade of “C,” chemistry or physics with a minimum grade of “C,” and anatomy and physiology with a minimum grade of “B-.”

The deadline to apply to the Respiratory Care and Radiologic Technology programs is January 15 for September 2004 entrance. Prerequisites for the Radiologic Technology program include the following courses within the past eight years: two years of math, including intermediate algebra with a minimum grade of “C,” and two years of science, including biology with a lab. Prerequisites for the Respiratory Care program include biology and intermediate algebra with a minimum grade of “C” within the past five years.
