Lillian M.   Anderson

Lillian M. Anderson, age 80, wife of Charles W. Anderson of Taunton Lake Drive, Newtown, died September 23 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs Anderson was born in Hartford on September 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Walter and Edith (Kingwell) Schimanskey. She was raised in the Hartford area and was a graduate of Danbury High School. She had been a resident of Newtown since 1955. Lillian was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.

Besides her husband of 53 years, she is survived by twin daughters, Karen Vagnini and her husband Michael of Woodbury, and Linda Morse and her husband Timothy Morse, II, of Washington; two brothers, Francis Schimanskey of Saratoga, N.Y., and Walter Schimanskey of Danbury; one sister, Theresa Hamed of Danbury; 12 grandchildren, Melissa Morse, Melanie Morse and fiancée Peter Reeb, Mindy Morse, Meredith Morse, Timothy Morse, III, Kristen Vagnini, Jennifer Vagnini, Meghan Morse, Lauren Vagnini, Travis Morse, Michael Vagnini, Jr, and Thomas Morse. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Brian Anderson, and by three brothers, Walter, John, and Joseph Schimanskey.

Funeral Services will be private. Interment will be in Newtown Village Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to Danbury Hospital, 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810, or to Newtown Ambulance Association, PO Box 344 Newtown, CT 06470. Arrangements by the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
