How weird is this?

The New York Giants – where the name Lawrence Taylor became legendary – is ranked last in the NFC in total defense. The Giants have allowed just 90.3 yards a game on the ground and I suppose that’s okay, but they have been torched for 314.3 yards through the air and only by mediocre quarterbacks.

Yet, the Giants are still 2-1.

It is a world gone mad, that’s for sure.

As another example that the world has gone mad, the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority – which will oversee about $250 million in improvements to Giants stadium – is seeking to host the Super Bowl in 2008 or 2009.

The Super Bowl.

In New Jersey.

In January.

Is it just me, or is that the most lamebrained idea I have ever heard?

It’s a world gone mad. Well, here are the picks –

Patriots (+3) over the ‘Skins

Chiefs (-3) over the Ravens

Bills (-3) over the Eagles

Titans (+3) over the Steelers

Bengals (+6) over the Browns

Panthers (-6) over the Falcons

Cards (+10.5) over the Rams

Jaguars (-3) over the Texans

Chargers (+7) over the Raiders

Cowboys (+3) over the Jets

Broncos (-12) over the Lions

Saints (+1.5) over the Colts

Packers (-4) over the Bears

Last Week: 11-3-0

Total: 28-16-2
