Plans Underway For Washington Antiques Show

WASHINGTON — The 15th annual Washington (Conn.) Antiques Show will be at Bryan Memorial Town Hall, Route 47 in Washington Depot, the weekend of October 5-7.

A benefit for the Gunn Memorial Library & Museum, the show will feature dealers from around the country who will offer fine American, English, Oriental and continental antiques including furniture, paintings, ceramics, silver, carpets, accessories, and jewelry.

The show opens with a gala preview party on Friday, October 5, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. To mark the 15th anniversary of the show many of the past honorary chairmen are planning to attend the preview party, according to antiques show chairman Joanne Caldara.

Preview party tickets are $75 per person by reservation and include cocktails and a feast of savories served throughout the evening, catered by The MarketPlace of Great Barrington, Mass., as well as continuous show admission throughout the weekend. Reservations are available by calling 860-868-0780.

Show hours will then be Saturday, October 6, from 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday, October 7, from 11 am to 5 pm.

Light luncheon fare and refreshments will be served at The Coffee Break upstairs in Bryan Memorial Town Hall.
