Artist’s Open Studio Exhibit & Sale

BRIDGEWATER — All are invited to attend Adeptus Arts’ Second Annual Studio Exhibit, a three-day event that will feature one of a kind hand blown glass and inflated steel sculpture. Bridgewater artist Timothy Hochstetter will be giving live demonstrations in his newly completed glass blowing and metal sculpting studio. The event will take place Saturday, Sunday and Monday, October 6, 7 and 8, from 10 am to 5 pm, at the artist’s studio, 31 Keeler Road.

Mr Hochstetter is known in Litchfield County and the area for his unique sculptural and functional hand blown glass. His innate sense of color and his skill as a sculptor have set his work apart from others. Visitors may recognize Mr Hochstetter’s blown glass pumpkins and fruit, which have graced the dining tables and gift shop of The Mayflower Inn in Washington (Conn.) for the past two years.

Mr Hochstetter’s parallel passion is sculpting forms with inflated steel. He has been developing a technique that utilizes welding, heating, inflating, and sculpting forms from sheets of steal.

Adeptus Arts, the name Mr Hochstetter has given to his business, is very excited about the completion of the new studio. For more information or directions to 31 Keeler Road call 860-355-1363.
