Feeling Safe And Welcome

To the Editor:

This letter is to thank the five generous people who stopped and offered to help me on the morning of Wednesday, September 20. My truck broke down and I was walking down Walnut Tree Hill Road with a gas can in my hand. The men and women who offered me a ride or to give me gas went out of their way to help.

My family and I moved to Newtown a year and a half ago, and I have not met nicer people than those who live and work in Newtown. It is so nice to live in a town where my family and I feel safe and welcome.

Thank you again to the men and women who offered to help me. It was much appreciated.
