To the Editor:

I am writing this letter to endorse Aaron Carlson for the Board of Finance. 

My wife and I moved to Newtown four years ago from NYC. We were anxious and excited about moving to a new place to start our family.  Fortunately, we moved up the street from Aaron and his wonderful family.   Anyone who knows Aaron, it doesn’t take long for him to make you feel comfortable and offer a helping hand anytime you need one. Aaron helped my family feel at home in Newtown.

Over the past four years I’ve grown to admire Aaron’s dedication and commitment to our community.   He is selfless in how much he is willing to give.  As chairman of non-profit Newtown Kindness Aaron’s passion to promote kindness was infectious during a time when our town needed strong community leadership. Now as co-founder of the progressing Newtown Education Foundation, Aaron has continued to support our community’s charitable efforts. Aaron’s effort within the community speaks to his character and dedication to supporting children and the future of Newtown.  

Finally, Aaron has the capability to provide a balanced approach to economic development. Day to day, Aaron is responsible for an $800 million budget across North America for the largest food company in the world.  He has built a career around cost management and innovative solutions.  

Vote for Aaron Carlson on November 3rd.  He’s got the expertise and dedication to community that Newtown needs.
