On Saturday, September 27, Newtown High School’s girls’ and boys’ soccer teams will host Weston at Blue & Gold Stadium — the girls at 5 pm and the boys at 7 pm. The Newtown program will celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the school’s 2004 state champions at halftime of the boys’ game.

Members of the 2004 girls’ and boys’ state title-winning squads have been invited to return to Newtown High to be recognized, and fans are encouraged to attend.

Also, as part of the doubleheader, a fundraiser for March of Dimes — a charity in which Marc Kenney, coach of the girls’ team is involved — will be held. There is no charge to attend the games.
