Beloved Son And Brother
Tyler David Jones, 16, of Sandy Hook, died September 18, at home. Tyler was born October 5, 1992, in Danbury, son of Linda (Pintar) and Duane Jones.
A lifetime Sandy Hook resident, he attended a school for autism, Connecticut Center for Child Development, in Milford. Tyler loved spending time with his family and special needs teachers. His favorite activities including beading, walking, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, rollerblading, and riding a scooter. He volunteered at the Newtown Youth Academy, did work for ProxTalker, the picture communication system in Thomaston, and started T.J. Designs jewelry.
Tyler always had a smile on his face and was a healthy, energetic teenager.
He adored his twin brother, Austin, and older sister, Lindsey. His grandparents David and Myrna Jones reside in Saugerties, N.Y., and his grandmother Juanita Pintar lives in Carthage, Ill. His grandfather George Pintar lives in Albuquerque, N.M. Tyler is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Debbie and Terry OâNeil of Missouri, Marilyn and Don Achelpol of Illinois, George and Maura Pintar of Illinois, Daryl and Denise Jones of Maryland, Bruce and Dale of Florida, and Jeff and Sarah Jones of Vermont; and ten cousins.
Funeral services took place at the Newtown United Methodist Church, Thursday, September 24. Interment followed at the Newtown Village Cemetery.
Tylerâs parents wish that memorial gifts be given to support the neurological autism research of Dr Margret Bauman.
