NEW YORK CITY â The Bard Graduate Center will present a lecture, âEthical Metalsmiths: Connecting People with Responsibly Sourced Materials,â on Monday, October 1, at 7 pm at Bard Hall, 410 West 58th Street.
Christina T. Miller, Ethical Metalsmiths cofounder, will discuss contemporary mining and Ethical Metalsmiths â its formation, accomplishments and plans for representing independent metal artists and jewelry designers who are dedicated to improving the social and environmental record of the jewelry industry through the application of best-practice standards for mining and processing metals.
The talk is presented by The Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design, and Culture in association with the Bard Globalization and International Affairs program.
