Desrosiers Attains Board Certification
NEW BRITAIN â Albert E. Desrosiers of Newtown, a partner in the law firm of Cousins, Johnson & Desrosiers of Stratford, has earned the title of Board Certified Workersâ Compensation Specialist in Connecticut by meeting rigorous requirements in the area of workersâ compensation law.
Mr Desrosiers is among 31 lawyers who comprise the first group of Connecticut attorneys to achieve board certification under a new program sponsored by the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) and its Workersâ Compensation Section.
Workersâ compensation is the practice of law dealing with the representation of employers and employees before state agencies and courts to determine eligibility for workerâs compensation benefits.
Mr Desrosiers is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and serves as co-chair of the latter groupâs Workerâs Compensation Committee.
He currently serves on the board of directors of the Family Counseling Center and has recently completed a term on the Region XI, Catholic School Board of Education.
Mr Desrosiers received his bachelorâs degree from the University of Connecticut and his law degree from Western New England College School of Law.
He resides in Newtown with his wife and two daughters.
