Joseph J. Paliotti, 54, of 31 Mount Pleasant Road, Newtown, died at Danbury Hospital on September 23. He was the husband of Patricia (Perrotte) Paliotti. Mr Paliotti was born in Lyons, N.Y., on March 5, 1946, a son of the late Joseph and Margaret (May) Paliotti.
Mr Paliotti was a self-employed charter bus driver. He was a teacher and drill instructor for Saint Josephâs Drum Corp in Rochester, N.Y. In Danbury, in the early 1980s, he started the first handicap bowling league.
Besides his wife, Patricia, he is survived by two daughters, Tamara Murphy of Danbury and Dawn Petrie of Shelton; a son, Joseph Paliotti of Danbury; a sister, Maryanne Rossito of Hartford; and three grandchildren, Amanda, Alicia, and Nicholas.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on September 26 at Sacred Heart Church. Cremation took place at the convenience of the family.
