BROOKFIELD — The Friends of The Brookfield Library will hold their annual book sale during the first weekend in October. Book sale chairmen Jan Furlong and Catherine Martone have been sorting and categorizing books for the past several months.

Mrs Furlong recently said, “There are scads of paperbacks and so many brand-new fiction and non-fiction books. In our children’s area we have an abundance of books and a good assortment of puzzles.”

The sale will take place in the library’s community room on Friday, October 6, from 7 to 9 pm; Saturday, October 7, from 10 am to 4 pm; and Sunday, October 8, from 10 am to 2 pm.
