Transforming Sandy Hook
To the Editor:
This year Sandy Hook Village has gone through a great transformation. The quaint village has always been a community filled with kind-hearted business owners and residents, but recently their fellowship and shared vision has helped to bring forth many new arts and culture initiatives in the neighborhood. Some of these new initiatives included this summer's 1st Annual Choose Love Concert Series, the 1st Sandy Hook Village ArtWalk and two new Art Gallery Pop Up Shops. Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity (S.H.O.P.) along with it’s residents, businesses, and property owners, has always strived to create a place of well-being, happiness, and belonging. Sandy Hook continues to strengthen it's beautiful community to be a place where people want to live, work, and come have fun!
From 11 am – 4 pm on Saturday, October 11th (rain or shine), we invite residents and visitors to come enjoy all that our community has to offer with our village-wide 4th Annual Passport to Sandy Hook . Over 30 businesses welcome you to Sandy Hook Village! Get your Passport stamped at all of them, and be entered to win a prize package worth over $2,000. While you're here, enjoy live music, a bounce house, face painting, visits with the Newtown-Strong Therapy Dogs and Bocker the Labradoodle, Newtown Jugglers and Circus Arts, and more! The town will come alive with prizes, fun activities for kids, arts & crafts, dance performances, open houses, games, free food & refreshments, discounts and samples! Plus, musical performances by: John Voket with special guest Kevin Spooner & The Bobby Donaldson Band.
