Anna Karcsmaros Waller, 98, of Oxford, formerly of Bridgeport, beloved wife to the late Thomas Charles Waller, Sr, died September 22 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. The daughter of the late Joseph and Therese Fekete Karcsmaros, she lived most of her life in Bridgeport, before moving to Oxford, nine years ago.

Mrs Waller will be lovingly remembered by her six children and their spouses, Barbara and  Robert McHugh of Newtown, Fay Ann Zak of Trumbull, Therese Carey of Bridgeport, Kenneth and Susan Waller of Milford, Carolyn and Michael Muthersbaugh of Fairfield, and Phillip and Carol Waller of Oxford. Her memory will also be cherished by her 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, her son Thomas Waller, Jr; her two granddaughters, Laura Ann and Donna Marie; and three siblings, Therese Repke, Marge Lanning, and Joseph Karcsmar, predeceased Mrs Waller.

She was a devoted parishioner of St Patrick’s Church, and a member of Knights of Columbus Columbiettes. When not spending her free time crafting, Mrs Waller loved being with her family and friends.

Calling hours will take place Thursday, September 25, from 4 to 8 pm, in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will take place Friday, September 26, at 9:15 am, in the funeral home, and 10 am at St Patrick’s Church, 170 Thompson Street, Bridgeport. Interment will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, 15 Dewey Street, Bridgeport.
