U10

Brookfield 18, Alpine Realty 6 – Angela Viesto had a beautiful hit down the third base line and Erin Fish popped two into the outfield to lead the Alpine offense. Theresa Viesto played good defense at third base with a couple of outs while Hilary Smith and Katie Orlando did an incredible job at pitching.

Trash Ranger 11, 100 Church Hill 6 – Erin Begg allowed one run in two innings of work to lead the Trash Rangers to the win. Danielle Genovese, Emily Cannavo and Begg powered the offense. For Church Hill, Melissa Biscoe led the defense as Madison Hauck and Ashley Cirone each collected a hit.

Newtown Royals 15, Southbury 5 – The Newtown Royals came from behind with a 12-run rally in the top of the sixth to win 15-5. Cody Williams had a two-run homer earlier in the game. Steven Braun and Michael Shannon each scored three runs. Williams, Johnny Kerins and Thomas Santaniello pitched well for the Royals.

Screaming Gators 15, Newtown (#4) 5 – Mitch Udiskey and Bobby Hughes each collected three hits and five RBIs to lead the Gators to victory. Richard Andreotta scored three times while JP Stanton scored twice including a steal of home. Johnny Wlasuk and Matt Madden pitched well. Riley Wurtz pitched two scoreless innings for Newtown #4, and had a hit and run scored. Robbie Carroll had a hit, two runs scored and two RBIs. Joey Maggio also pitched well and had a hit and RBI while Michael Herring had a strong game defensively behind the plate.

Red Raiders 21, Barreto 1 – Jimmy Poe and Anthony Gruce powered a 16-hit attack with three hits, three RBIs, and two runs scored apiece. Jack List and Gary Poe had two hits. For Barreto, Josh Baron, Eric Ralston and Evan Barreto had hits while Adam Mannino pitched well.

Newtown 10, New Milford 6 – Charlie Coates and Brian Fogelstrom combined to strike out 11 batters and lead Newtown to the win over New Milford. Mark Fracker belted a long triple and drove in four runs while Joe Coates doubled and drove in two runs. Tony Willie and Steve Brink banged out two hits apiece.

Newtown 7, Danbury 6 - Mark Fracker pitched five strong innings and Graham Philbrick picked up the win in relief as Shane Huebner scored the winning run in the top of the seventh. Charlie Coates and Huebner had two hits apiece while Ryan Williams and Kevin Wasicki had run-scoring hits. Mike Hennessey and Jeff Levasseur had hits.
