NYS Says Thanks
NYS Says Thanks
To the Editor:
On behalf of Newtown Youth Services I would like to say thank you to Linda Manna of the Newtown Country Mill. Ms Manna was kind enough to donate beautiful mums to add touches of fall color for our open house on September 19.
For those of you who may not be familiar with Newtown Country Mill, which is located on Route 302, it is one of Newtownâs âbest kept secrets.â When you stop to window shop it is very difficult to leave empty handed. The shop features lovely crafts, uniquely designed wreaths or bouquets, wall hangings, rugs, and other artwork by many Newtown artisans. On a chilly day you can stop by to warm your hands by the old-fashioned wood stove that sits surrounded by all the shopâs wares, and take in the fragrances of burning candles.
NYS is so fortunate to benefit from the generosity of many Newtown merchants. I almost hate to identify one of Newtownâs âbest kept secretsâ but it is much too wonderful a store to keep it to myself. Please take a trip down the road to support a fellow Newtowner who is so gracious to so many.
Gratefully,
Roseanne G. Loring
