Members of Newtown Rotary got tips about improving their communication skills in a program presented by Ellen Cahill at their dinner meeting Monday evening.

Ms Cahill, who co-founded Cahill Associates in 1984, has trained and coached professionals from almost every field, helping them to improve their communication skills. Among her clients are Microsoft, Con Edison, Hyatt Hotels, Pitney Bowes, and IBM. She has appeared on NBC Today and been interviewed on CNN-FN.

Ms Cahill has taught a wide variety of people to deliver messages that people simply remember and act upon. She teaches presenters to listen better and to defend their agenda with proactive questions and answers.

She has a background in public relations, publishing, sales, management, and producing musical theater productions. Known for her dynamic delivery and interactive style, she kept everyone’s attention during her presentation and many of the audience picked up pointers to use during their next presentations.
