Mr and Mrs William Todd Henckel

Tina Marie Porco and William Todd Henckel were married on February 7 at Faith Church in Danbury with the Rev Frank Santora, Jr, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Silvia Porco of Sandy Hook. The groom is the son of William and Patricia Henckel of Newtown.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless white gown with jeweled bodice and skirt and white silk and fur coat with hood. She carried a bouquet of black magic red roses.

The maid of honor was Marisa Velez of New Canaan. Her bridesmaids were Samantha Mitchell of Danbury, Melanie Shaw of Newtown, Victoria Carmella of Fairfield, and Angela Giaquinto of Castleton, N.Y. The junior bridesmaid was Jessica Cash of Danbury.

The attendants wore red dresses and carried white long-stem calla lilies.

The best man was Dan Monroe of Newtown. Ushers were Norbert E. Mitchell of Danbury, David Henckel of Newtown, Michael Porco of Newtown, and Sean McLean of Newtown.

Other attendants were Emily Oko of Oxford and Ryan Shaw of Newtown.

The bride graduated from Western Connecticut State University and is a mathematics teacher at Ridgefield High School.

The groom attended Southern Connecticut State University and is owner of W.T. Henckel Lawn & Landscaping of Newtown.

A reception was held at the Candlewood Inn in Brookfield.

Following a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple is living in Gaylordsville.
