Mr And Mrs Robert Pitcher Celebrate 65th Anniversary

Mr and Mrs Robert Pitcher of 15 Park Lane were honored at a 65th anniversary “surprise” dinner party on September 5, given by granddaughter Dr Lori Ugolik of Macon, Ga., and daughter and son-in-law Gail and Stephen Ugolik of Newtown.

The party was held at The Hearth restaurant in Brookfield and attended by family and friends.

Mr and Mrs Pitcher were married in the Newtown Congregational Church on October 7, 1939, by the late Rev Paul Cullens. They are lifelong residents of Newtown.

A Certificate of Congratulations from First Selectman Herb Rosenthal and the Town of Newtown was also presented to them that evening.
