Michael Roger Preble
Michael Roger Preble of High View Lane, Sherman, devoted husband of Lori (Hinz) Preble, died at Danbury Hospital on September 15.
He was born in White Plains, N.Y., on February 17, 1961, son of Robert Preble and the late Alice (Reimann) Preble.
In addition to his wife of 21 years, Lori, he is survived by his cherished children, Nicholas M. Preble, Jaclyn A. Preble, and Rachel L. Preble. He is also survived by two sisters, Lynn Willie and her husband Jay of Newtown, and Monica Landry and her husband Ray of New Iberia, La.; and several beloved nieces and nephews and extended family members.
He was a graduate of Brewster High School, Class of 1979. Michael worked as auto body production manager for North State Custom in Bedford Hills, N.Y., for 20 years.
He was a dedicated husband and father who loved staying home and spending time with his family. He enjoyed working on cars, gardening, and working around the house.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on September 20 at Holy Trinity Church in Sherman. Burial followed in Coburn Cemetery, Sherman.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Danbury Hospital Development Fund for the Praxair Cancer Center or the Danbury Hospital Development Fund for the 11 East Nurse Education, 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury CT 06811.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr John Pezzimenti, the staff of Praxair, and the staff of 11 East, for their gentle care and compassion.
