Fire Prevention Poster Contest
Fire Prevention Poster Contest
In commemoration of national Fire Prevention Week, October 4â8, Connecticutâs annual Fire Prevention Poster Contest is now open.
This yearâs theme, âFire Prevention: Everyone, Everyday,â aims to promote both child and adult awareness of fire prevention responsibilities.
The contest will be managed by Newtown elementary school teachers in cooperation with contest sponsors The Connecticut Fire Marshalsâ Association, Office of the State Fire Marshal, the Connecticut Fire Chiefâs Association, the State Board of Education, and the Connecticut FAIR Plan (representing the insurance industry).
All winning posters on the county level will be exhibited in various areas around Connecticut, including the state capitol in Hartford, during the month of October.
From these, a state winner will be chosen to promote fire prevention throughout the state.
