Car Wash For Make-A-Wish

On Saturday, September 25 the Newtown Car Wash on South Main Street  will hold a benefit car wash for the Make-A-Wish Foundation as part of  Wash USA.

Wash USA began in 2001, when it raised nearly $40,000 for the International Committee of the Red Cross. Over the last two years, Wash USA has raised more than $275,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“This event is an excellent opportunity for leaders in the car wash industry to work together to move the image of the industry forward, as well as help some very special children in the process,” said Robert Boyhen, manager. “We encourage washes across the country to participate in this exciting event.”

“We are overjoyed to be a part of this extraordinary partnership,” said Paula Van Ness, president and CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. Thanks to the efforts of professional car wash owners and operators, more children across the country will experience unforgettable moments of hope, strength, and joy.”

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. It is the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with 75 chapters in the United States and its territories and 27 international affiliates spanning five continents.
