Bolivian Boutique At NUMC Fall Fair

The Newtown United Methodist Church is committed to supporting missions in Bolivia through projects that support church vitalization, community based health projects, daycare facilities, and women’s cooperatives. As part of these efforts, the Newtown United Methodist church will host a Bolivian Boutique at its Fall Craft Fair this weekend to sell beautiful hand-sewn goods from the Bolivian village supported by the Newtown church.

The Bolivian Boutique will feature beautiful scarves, hats, dolls, back packs, table runners, cloths, and many more hand-sewn items made of Bolivian woven wool. The proceeds from the sales at the Bolivia Boutique are returned to the Women’s Cooperatives in Bolivia.

The Fall Fair will also include a wide variety of professional crafters, homemade baked goods, theme baskets, and a silent auction. A children’s fair will coincide with the Fall Craft Fair and include carnival games, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, a moon bounce and much more.

The fair will be held on Friday, September 24, from 5 to 8 pm, and Saturday, September 25, from 10 am to 4 pm, on the church grounds at 92 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook. For more information, contact the church office at 426-9998.
