Occupation: After graduating from the US Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, I was a marine engineer and then a commissioned officer in the US Navy. While in the Navy, I was initially assigned to destroyer duty and then to the submarine service where I became a qualified submarine officer. After the Navy, I entered the power generation business where I received my professional engineer license in New York and Connecticut. My career has included experience in nuclear, fossil and cogeneration power plants. A few years ago I retired from an international architect engineer and constructor firm as vice president of plant startup, operations and maintenance. During my career I did extensive traveling, both domestic and international. Presently I work at times as a consultant and on occasion have been an adjunct professor, teaching physics and mathematics at Westchester and Norwalk community colleges.
