Patricia Keson

Cherished Mother And Grandmother

Patricia Shanks Keson, 67, of Sandy Hook, died September 15, in Danbury. She was born October 6, 1943, in Chicago to Enes (Gardella) and John Shanks. She was the loving wife of 48 years to Russel Keson.

Mrs Keson was a licensed cosmetologist. She also graduated from Jamestown Business College in 1983 with a medical assistant degree and worked at Danbury Medical Group for ten years. She loved to travel and volunteered her time at St Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wis.

She was the best grandmother and loved her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was a huge fan of football and will be missed by all who knew her.

Along with her husband, Mrs Keson is survived by her daughter, Nadene Peterson, and her husband Mark, of Newtown; one brother, Thomas Shanks of Michigan; three sisters, Kathy Lehman of Michigan, Lois Lake of Colorado, and Mary Jo Stulz of Texas; and her two wonderful grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Jeffrey and Doran Keson.

A memorial took place September 19. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family, at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington, Mich.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the Danbury Hospital Development Fund, Ovarian Cancer Department, 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury CT 06810.
