Medical Providers To Learn About Diabetic Foot Ulcers

Masonicare at Newtown invites all local health care professionals, including physicians, podiatrists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, APRNs, nurses, and LPNs, to attend an informative program that will discuss the latest advances in the management of diabetic foot ulcers.

The program will be held on Wednesday, October 12. Dinner will be served from 5 to 6 pm, with the presentation to follow in the Lodge Room at Masonicare at Newtown.

One contact hour of CME/CEU credits will be given for all attendees.

Leading the session is Newtown resident David Charash, DO, a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, an emergency room physician and medical director of the Wound Center at Danbury Hospital.

He has board certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in both Emergency Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. D. Charash will discuss complications that can occur with diabetic foot ulcers and outline the latest techniques currently being used to treat them.

A question and answer period will be included, and a complimentary light dinner will be served.

There is no fee for the program, but seating is limited.

Anyone wishing to attend should call the Senior HelpLine by Masonicare at 888-679-9997 to reserve a space.

Masonicare at Newtown, an affiliate of Masonicare, is located at 139 Toddy Hill Road. For more information visit www.masonicare.org/directions.asp.
