USB Announces Opening Of New Branch
Savings Bank of Danbury announced on September 15 that Assistant Vice President Donna Williams will be the branch manager at its newest branch office opening in November in the Plumtrees Shopping Center on Newtown Road in Danbury.
 In this capacity, she will manage the overall effectiveness of a full-service retail branch office with a primary focus and sales and business development. The branch also will include Alfred Calderon, branch operations manager, and Edward Carola, commercial lender.
Formerly manager of the Newtown branch, Ms Williams joined Savings Bank of Danbury in August 1997 and was the branch manager of the New Milford branch before assuming the role of branch manager in Newtown in November 2001.
A graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance & Management, Class of 2000, her diverse financial background spans 30 years and includes positions in management, customer service, sales, marketing, and lending.
Very active in the community, she is a member of the Newtown Rotary Club, Newtown Chamber of Commerce, Newtown Chapter of Regional Hospice, and Southbury Business Association. In addition, she is a volunteer for Newtown Meals-On-Wheels.
 The bank also announced that Sharon Maynard has joined SBD as assistant vice president and branch manager at the Newtown branch at 20 Church Hill Road. Her career spans 20 years with the former New Milford Bank and Trust, which is now Bank of America, where she held the position of assistant vice president and branch manager.
 She is currently serving as a Board Member of the New Milford Interfaith Housing. She has also served on the board of the United Way.
