Newtown PTA Council To Be Revitalized

Sandy Hook PTA President Sarah Beier announced that the Newtown PTA is being revitalized. The council will consist of representatives from each of the seven schools, including PTA officers, teachers, and principals. In addition to the PTA officers, the council is looking for parent, grandparent, and community members to serve as delegates and representatives that want to work at the PTA town level.

The PTA Council will provide a unified voice for parents across all schools and will allow for more information regarding educational issues to be shared by the community. Additionally, it will act as the liaison between the local, state, and national PTA levels.
