Newtown High School’s girls’ volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-16) win over visiting Masuk of Monroe on September 18. The Nighthawks improved to 4-1 overall.

Zosia Teraszkiewicz recorded 12 kills, an ace, one block, and four digs; Liz Anesi had seven kills, and ace, three blocks, and one dig; Gianna Galassi registered nine kills and six digs; Sarah Hubner tallied five digs; Gabby Soltis compiled 31 assists to go along with four digs; Amaro Beard-Galati had an ace, two kills and a pair of blocks; Sara Heinen had two kills and a dig; and Emily Daoust contributed three digs.
