Temporary Utility Outages Probable Along Sugar Street Early Tuesday
Newtown Director of Emergency CommunicationsÃÂ Maureen Will has been advised by the provider of phone and Internet services that some local customers may suffer temporary outages during the early morning hours of September 26.
Frontier Communications, according to Ms Will, is planning to work on fiber optic lines along Sugar Street and Dodgingtown Road (Route 302), as well as along Boggs Hill Road, which runs from Sugar Street at its northern intersection to Hattertown Road at its eastern intersection.
"While they are working on the line, there could be momentary outages of Frontier services," Ms Will said via press release Friday afternoon. "These will not be long duration outages.
"Work will begin shortly after midnight and will be complete by 6 am Tuesday morning," she added.
Frontier customers who may have questions or concerns should contact their customer service representative at Frontier, Ms Will said.
