Anti-Gun Violence Groups To Rally In Stamford
Newtown Action Alliance has announced that the ENOUGH Campaign and the Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence will hold a peaceful demonstration, Tuesday, September 23, in Stamford on Main St. between Washington and Summer streets, in Columbus Park, at 5:30 pm. The rally is meant to call attention to GOP gubernatorial challenger Tom Foley’s pro-gun stance, and will coincide with the Foley campaign event to be attended by Gov Chris Christie (R-NJ) and baseball manager and restaurateur Bobby Valentine.
The ENOUGH Campaign advocates for more public awareness on the issues of gun violence prevention in America, through legislative advocacy and community education.
The Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence is a grassroots organization working for common-sense state and federal regulation of firearms to help reduce gun violence.
