Joseph E. Gunnels

Joseph Edward Gunnels, of Aurora, Colo., formerly of Dinglebrook Road, Newtown, died tragically on September 3, while participating in an air show in Steamboat Springs, Colo.

He was born in Athens, Ga., on October 15, 1940.

Mr Gunnels is survived by his wife, Jane; his son, Joseph “JJ” and his wife; his daughter, Jill and her husband; and four granddaughters.

Mr Gunnels’ former Newtown Jaycees friends and neighbors will always have fond memories of a very caring and thoughtful southern gentleman.
