To the Editor:

I have had the pleasure of knowing Neil Chaudhary and his family for over six years. During that time, I have witnessed Neil support many different organizations in town with his volunteer efforts. I am always impressed by his continuous community participation and know he is the right person to serve as Police Commissioner of Newtown. His actions are clear examples of how important Newtown is to him and his family and making it a safe environment for all.

Neil has a professional background in transportation and highway safety research including issues related to drug and alcohol abuse. I believe his professional experience will shine through in his role as Police Commissioner and he has already proven that the safety and well-being of our community is his number one priority.

Neil is organized, thoughtful, approachable and open-minded and I know he will continue to make decisions that benefit, not only our immediate neighborhoods, but our extended community as well. His communications skills, both written and verbal, are excellent.

In summary, I highly recommend Neil for Police Commissioner and know he will continue to be a valuable asset.
