Women’s Health Co-op Launches

‘Girl Talk’ Lecture Series

MIDDLEBURY — This fall, the Center for Women’s Health in Connecticut, with offices in Waterbury and Southbury, will launch a women’s lecture series, “Girl Talk,” in collaboration with Naugatuck Valley Radiology Associates.

The two practices are inviting area women to come and enjoy a series of relaxing evenings focusing on their health.

The first lecture, “You’re So Vein,” will be offered Monday, October 1 with interventional radiologist Gregory Gersten, MD, of Naugatuck Valley Radiology. Dr Gersten will discuss symptoms and treatments available for varicose veins.

All the lectures will be held the first Monday of each month from 6 to 8 pm at the Middlebury Consignment, 1365 Whittemore Road. During each lecture, a variety of Connecticut wines will be served along with gourmet light fare in the elegant upscale ambiance of Middlebury Consignment.

“Sex and the Brass City” with Dr Marcia Tejeda of the Center for Women’s Health will be the second lecture on Monday, November 5. “Holiday Glow” will be the theme for the December 3 lecture. The lecture will focus on healthy skin care and cosmetic surgical procedures.

The Center for Women’s Health In Connecticut, a member of Women’s Health Connecticut, provides comprehensive gynecologic and obstetric care to women of all ages and has been serving women throughout the region for more than 40 years.
