Registrars Hosting Voter Info Sessions
On Tuesday October 2, the Newtown Registrars of Voters will be conducting a special session to prepare a preliminary voting list between the hours of 9 and 11 am. The November 6 Presidential Election will be held five weeks later.Â
The session will be held in their office at 3 Primrose Street.Â
The registrar of voters office is part-time. Regular office hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 8 am until noon; call 203-270-4250 the office at any time and leave a message one of them will get back to you.Â

The registrars office plan to have a booth at the Newtown Health Fair on Saturday, September 29, from 9 am until 1 pm, at the Newtown Middle School. Voters are welcome to stop by and check voter registration, makes changes, find out where their votes will be cast, or register to vote.
The registrars office will also be open Saturday, October 20, from 10 am until 2 pm to assist voters with registration needs.Â
On Tuesday, October 30, the office will be open from 9 am until 8 pm. This is the last day to register to vote for the November 6 Presidential Election. Individuals who wish to participate must come in person to this session
The last day to have someone drop off a registration application or have a mailed application postmarked is Tuesday, October 23. Residents can download a voter registration form from the town website, newtown-ct.gov. Applications can be dropped off or mailed to 3 Primrose Street, Newtown CT 06470.
All applicants will receive a letter of acceptance telling them where their polling place is within a week of receiving the application. If registrants do not receive a letter, call the registrars office.
