Occupation: I’ve been a full-time realtor since 1983, specializing in the Newtown market. I’m with Coldwell Banker now and previously was with Bob Tendler. I’ve recently become a stager, which is someone who enhances your home to make it more attractive to buyers.

Family: My husband, Dan, is a procurement director at Pitney-Bowes. We have three children. Erin is 29, and married to Jon. They live in Westchester County. John is 27 and lives and works in Fairfield. Our youngest is Jason, 21. He’s a senior at the University of Rhode Island, studying chemistry.

How long have you lived in Newtown? We have been in Newtown since 1980. We’re in our third house now, in Sandy Hook.

What do you like to do in your free time? Just recently have I had any free time? I’ve been involved with family, work, volunteering with the Newtown Fund and the Holiday Basket Program, and other fundraisers. I like to play tennis and I’m taking up the game of golf. We try to do theater and concerts and things happening in the area. I have a flower garden, too, and we like to go to sports games or watch them on television.

Do you have a favorite theater production? Jersey Boys is one of my favorite musicals, whether on Broadway or done locally.

Do you have a favorite sports team? My family roots for the Mets and the Jets, but I’m a Dallas Cowboys fan.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? We have property in Naples, Fla., so we like to go there to golf and visit friends, and play some tennis.

What is the best thing about Newtown? It’s the people and the community spirit. It’s a unique town, a nice little New England town. It’s a great place to bring up your family. It really is “Nicer in Newtown.”

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? I’d have to say my mom and my husband. My mother was also a realtor, and gave me a lot of words of wisdom. My husband, for his years of supporting me as a working mom.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Be honest. I’ve always tried to portray that and live by that. I’ve tried to instill a good work ethic in our kids, to be honest in their dealings and forthright and ethical.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? I don’t do it often, but I love to go to Ferris Acres Creamery. It’s almost always for the same thing: coconut ice cream with chocolate chunks in it.
