Get Back To The Country's Problems
Get Back To The Countryâs Problems
To the Editor:
Just finished reading Mr Luzziâs letter, âWhat I Learned From the Republican Platformâ (The Newtown Bee, 9/14/12) and would like to comment.
Yes, I agree, Mr Todd Akin is a jerk, and should be voted down by Missouri voters.
The TEA Party (Taxed, Enough, Already) is not an extreme right group looking to eliminate a womanâs right to abort her fetus. They (me) are not to keen on using federal funds for this abortion, or handing out federally funded contraception.
But wait; were there not three planks in the Democratic platforms that cause some concern? Two made it on the âlame-stream mediaâ (your terms not mine), but the third was played down by that same group â Correct? Legalization of (almost) full-term abortion. Kind of hard to swallow isnât it? No wonder Sandra (that poor Georgetown University âstudentâ) is the new face for the Democratic Party.
Citizens, can we put aside the âplumbing of the American femaleâ and get back to how we are going to take care of the problems in this country. Unemployment, jobs, rising cost of food, gas prices, inflation, electric bills, heating bills, taxes, you know mundane stuff like that?
