Connecticut BBB Revokes Accreditation Of Four Businesses
WALLINGFORD â To maintain confidence in the BBB name, Better Business Bureau monitors accreditation activity, and when necessary, makes recommendations to the BBB Board of Directors to expel companies that violate BBB Accreditation Standards.
The BBB Board â which is a representation of all accredited businesses in good standing â takes enforcement of accreditation standards seriously.
In August, the Connecticut Better Business Bureau Board of Directors voted to revoke accreditation from four businesses:
*Carroll Chimney Sweeps of Cheshire, for failure to maintain required licensing
*White Eagle Constructions of New Britain, for failure to respond to customer complaint
*Durham Auto Center in Durham, for failure to respond to customer complaint
*Advanced Basement Systems of Connecticut, based in Milford, for failure to maintain BBB minimum rating grade for accreditation
Maintaining BBB accreditation requires meeting all BBB standards, promptly responding to complaints forwarded by BBB and making good faith efforts to resolve complaints in accordance with generally accepted good business practices.
