WATERBURY â The Equine Resources Committee at Post University in Waterbury will host its first Quiz The Experts lecture of the new academic year on Friday, October 19, starting at 7:15 pm.
Dr Wendy Coren, a human/animal chiropractor, will speak about the help that chiropractic work gives to both horse and rider. She is part of the team at Equalign Chiropractic Systems, (Info@equalign.com) whose mission âis to achieve the ultimate athletic synergy through combining superior knowledge of both the human and equine systems.
The founding principle of Equalign is: âthe diseases of the horse and rider are intimately intertwined and must be addressed simultaneously to achieve maximal performance potential.â
Dr Coren started practicing chiropractic in the early 1980s and has continuously run successful human chiropractic offices in Connecticut and Florida. With her co-founder, she has devised a structural program for horse and rider to create a synergistic relationship.
Her spare time is spent riding in any number of disciplines including hunter pacing, team penning, and galloping on the beach â or just hiking with the dogs.
This ânot to be missedâ lecture will be held in the Drubner Center on the second floor at the top of the stairs. The building is on Route 63, just south of exit 17 off I-84, and will be clearly signed. Tickets are available for $10 at the door (free to Post students).
Proceeds benefit equine scholarships and the Equine program at Post. For further information, call 203-596-4631 or email CBaker@post.edu.
