Washington Gearing Up For 21st Annual Antiques Show
WASHINGTON DEPOT â The Washington Connecticut Antiques Show will celebrate its 21st year with a benefit party on Saturday, October 6, from 6:30 until 9 pm. The full show, featuring 23 dealers this year, will be presented on Saturday from 10 am until 5 pm and Sunday, October 7, from 11 am to 5 pm.
The event, a major fundraiser for Gunn Memorial Library & Museum, will be held at Bryan Memorial Town Hall in Washington Depot. This yearâs show honors the libraryâs executive director, Jean Chapin, for her 25 years of dedicated service. Washington resident Stephen Ketterer is serving as this yearâs chairman.
Admission to the benefit party on Saturday night is $125 and up. Advance reservations are recommended. Â
Admission to the show itself is $10.
Dealers from up and down the East Coast will display a diverse collection of folk art, fine art, porcelain, jewelry, musical instruments, garden antiques and furniture, clocks and furniture from the 17th to early 20th centuries. Live music and valet parking will enhance Saturday nightâs gala, while larger booths and more dealers increase the scope of this yearâs show.
