Occupation: I am the general manager of Sugar Hill Service Center and Auto Body on Route 302 in Newtown.

Family: My wife, Erin. We were married on August 10 and just bought a condo in Brookfield. She’s a kindergarten teacher in Weston.

Pets: None right now, but hopefully, a dog soon. We’ll see.

How long have you been in Newtown? I grew up in Newtown and lived here until I went to college. Even then, I was home summers and vacations. My parents, Charlie and Diane, still live here.

What do you like to do in your free time? I love to golf in the summer. My favorite golf course in the area is Tashua Knolls, probably because I always beat my dad mercilessly there. I love to ski in the winter. I like all kinds of sports, and I’m a Yankee fan.

What is your favorite gadget in the auto shop? The Hunter four-wheel alignment machine. It’s new and state-of-the-art. It lets us do alignments in about half an hour or less. It’s very precise, all camera operated, instead of sensor technology, and computerized. It can be used on all vehicles, domestic or foreign. And our new paint booth in the body shop is a favorite new toy. It has downdraft and allows us to paint cars in a dust-free environment so that we get a factory finish.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? Maui, Hawaii. We went to Maui for our honeymoon. It was the most beautiful place I have ever set foot on in my life. Great beaches with black sand, red sand, white sand, and great body surfing.

If you could change one thing in the world, what would that be? To put a stop to terrorism. I don’t know how, but I’d like to see everyone, everywhere, at peace.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Thomas Jefferson said, “The funny thing about luck, the harder you work, the more of it you have.”

Do you have a guilty pleasure? Golf. Too much golf. I would golf every day if I could, and twice on Saturdays.
