Beloved Father And Grandfather
Henry Silverman, 90, died September 12 in Gainesville, Fla. Mr Silverman was born in Norwalk to Yetta and Frank Silverman and was a resident of Bridgeport for more than 50 years. He was the loving husband of late Eunice Friedman Silverman and the late Ruth Mazur Silverman.
Mr Silverman is survived by his devoted children, Bob Tendler and his wife, Debby, of Newtown, Sharon Hirshik and her husband, Andy, of Gainesville, Fla., and Sue Kotlen and her husband, Jay, of Trumbull; his dear grandchildren, Eric Hirshik and his wife, Mandy, Russell Hirshik, Melissa Nagin and her husband, Benjamin, Robyn Kotlen, Jared Tendler, and Jessica Sachs and her husband, Andy; and his adored great-grandchildren, Zachary, Sarah, and Alexander Nagin. He is also survived by his sister, Faye Compo and his brothers, Maxwell Silverman and Bernie Silverman.
Mr Silverman was a lifelong member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom. Grave services took place on September 16 in Rodeph Sholom Memorial Park on Kings Highway in Fairfield. Shiva was observed in the Kotlen residence in Trumbull on Sunday and Monday.
The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home was in care of arrangements.
