Open House At Lauralton Hall
The Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall, a college preparatory school for girls, located at 200 High Street, Milford, invites prospective students and their parents to Open House 2000 on Sunday, October 1. A presentation of the academic program will be given by the administration and faculty at noon, 1 pm, and 2 pm. Tours of the campus will be conducted by members of the student body. Parents and alumni will be serving refreshments in the dining hall where they will discuss all aspects of life at Lauralton.
The admissions test and interview will be held at the school from 9 am to noon on Saturday, October 21. The application fee of $40 is payable on the day of the test. For further information, contact Sister Janice May in the admissions office at 203/877-2768 ext 44.
Lauralton Hall is the oldest Catholic girls high school in Connecticut and is currently celebrating 95 years of academic excellence with one hundred percent of each graduating class enrolled in more than sixty different colleges including the most competitive.
The Academy of Our Lady of Mercy â Lauralton Hall has an enrollment of 440 girls. The students in attendance for the 2000-2001 academic year are from 37 Connecticut towns, including Newtown and Sandy Hook.
