August Traffic Citations

Police report that during the month of August they issued a total of 122 motor vehicle infractions and summonses.

Police issued 91 infraction tickets, which allow offenders to pay a fine by mail. Police handed out 31 summonses, which require motorists to make a court appearance to settle the case.

Among the summonses, police issued 7 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence and 3 charges of operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, among 21 other miscellaneous violations.

Also, police issued 33 infraction tickets for traveling unreasonably fast, 11 infractions for speeding, and 8 infractions for driving through red lights, among 39 other miscellaneous infractions.
