WESTON – Colleen Davis scored a first-half goal and Stephanie Miles added a second-half goal to lead the Nighthawks to a 2-1 win over Weston last Saturday.

Weston took a 1-0 lead in the game on a goal by Kate Wilhelmy almost 11 minutes into the first half, but Davis came back to tie the game with her goal. In the second half, at the 52:10 mark, Miles scored the goal that broke the tie.

Newtown outshot Weston 24-11 and goaltender Kate Bouteiller made seven saves.

The Nighthawks’ tilt with New Fairfield on Tuesday was postponed because of rain.
