State Representatives Mitch Bolinsky (R-106) and Martin Foncello (R-107) will be hosting a Diaper Drive to help Newtown neighbors for this must-have baby supply from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Friday, September 20, at the Big Y World Class Market, 6 Queen Street.

The diapers collected will be delivered to both FAITH Food Pantry of Newtown and Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut, which is located in Danbury and services 25 towns and 20,000 people in the region.

Diapers are an expensive, but essential baby product, and unfortunately, they are not covered by Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) benefits.

The Newtown State Representatives are asking residents for help by donating an unopened package or two of diapers for babies and their mothers who might be in need.
