To the Editor:

We’ve reached a critical time in our history, and our values are at stake.

Fortunately we have a wonderful candidate, Michelle McCabe, running for State Senate. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her on a number of occasions, and took advantage of those opportunities to talk to her about who she is as a candidate and as a person, and the issues facing Newtown and Connecticut. I find Michelle to be an active listener, very responsive, and quite knowledgeable on an extensive range of issues. She is thoughtful, forthcoming, and intelligent. And most of all, she is caring and compassionate.

Michelle McCabe’s professional experience with nonprofit organizations has given her an extensive background being fiscally responsible. Her endorsement by CT NOW gives me confidence that she will be a champion for women’s rights and women’s healthcare. Her passion for education means she will advocate for Newtown’s schools and protect education funding.

I hope you will join me in supporting Michelle McCabe. She will give Newtown the benefit of her strong voice and her dedication.
