SOUTHPORT â The Fairfield Bridle Trails Association will hold its annual Hunter Trials Horse Show on Monday, October 13, on the Taylor/Weeks property at 889 Hulls Highway in Southport. This year the high point champions in both the Junior and Adult divisions will be awarded wool coolers.
Also new this year will be the presentation of the Foggy Dew Perpetual Trophy, awarded for the highest points in the Adult Pleasure Division. Anne Wokanovicz has donated the trophy in memory of her horse, Foggy Dew, who died last winter at the age of 32.
Junior classes will begin at 8:30 am and adult classes will not begin before 1 pm. Entries will be accepted on the day of the show. Fees are $10 per class for juniors and $15 per class for adults.
In addition to the usual tag sale of horse-related items, Tom Framuka of MUSTAD will be on hand to discuss Right Balance Treats and Supplements.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be available. There will be parking on the property at at nearby Wakenmanâs Lake. Large vans are to park at the Fairfield Hunt Club. Call Dan Burhans at 1-203-847-944 (1-203-858-9099 on the day of the show) for further information.
