Race Open To Community
Fraser Woods School is sponsoring four one-mile races beginning at 8 am Sunday, September 21, that is open to the public.
There is a race-day registration fee of $10; first 50 entries receive a free T-shirt. Medals will be awarded for the top five places in each race. On site babysitting is available free of charge on the enclosed school playground.
Postrace refreshments, courtesy of Stop & Shop, Dunkinâ Donuts, and the Big Y, will be available. Volunteers include USATF-certified officials on the finish and start lines, members of the Newtown girlsâ cross country team as course guides, EMT and trainer William Romaniello from Carlson Therapy Network, and parents and staff from the Fraser Woods School.
A shuttle bus will run from the recycling center at Stop & Shop to the school and back beginning at 7 am. There will be no parking at the school.
